About
Discovered in 1974 by local farmers, the Terracotta Army is one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. Over 8,000 life-sized warriors, horses, and chariots were buried with China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, to protect him in the afterlife. Each figure has unique facial features, hairstyles, and armor — a testament to ancient Chinese craftsmanship.
